It has always been my strong desire and wish to make a small contribution to the development of higher education in Afghanistan. Therefore, I have visited the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE), Kabul University (KU), Kabul Polytechnic University (KPU) and many other higher educational institutions in Afghanistan over the last two decades. I had many discussions with the policy makers and academics with the main aim to improve the quality of higher education in the country. Furthermore, I have also been publishing papers at various national and international conferences about aspects which can enhance the quality of higher education in Afghanistan.
One of my substantial achievement is to facilitate the training of selected Afghan lecturers for KPU at University of Brighton (UoB) under a programme which was supported by the World Bank. Luckily, most of the graduates who were trained at UoB are very successful and are making considerable positive contributions in Afghanistan.
The aim of this website and its content is to provide a platform for Afghan academics and researchers inside and outside the country to share their experience and recommendations to reform and further improve higher education in Afghanistan. Therefore, I am requesting all Afghan academics and researchers to send me their blogs that will enrich this website that will enable the Afghan policy makers, university lecturers and students who can benefit from the resources and ideas to be integrated in this website.
